The Hoard Conservation Team in Washington D.C.
This video was filmed October 22nd – October 28th in Washington D.C. Two of the Hoard conservation team, project manager Deborah Cane and conservator Deborah Magnoler, went over to the United States to help in the setting up of the Staffordshire Hoard exhibition at the National Geographic Museum. The exhibition is called “Anglo-Saxon Hoard:Gold from England’s Dark Ages” and can be seen from October 29 to March 4, 2012.
Curator David Symons, from Birmingham Museums & Art Gallery, and Principal Collections Officer Deb Klemperer from the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery in Stoke, both appear at the end of the video. They were involved in a panel event about the Hoard at the National Geographic Museum. Thanks to the team at the National Geographic Museum for allowing us to film them hard at work!
