Large Numbers Turn Out to See the Staffordshire Hoard

Artefacts from the Staffordshire Hoard went on display for the first time today (Sept 25th 2009) at Birmingham Museums & Art Gallery. There was a huge interest in viewing this treasure, which resulted in large number of people arriving to see the exhibition. The artefacts are on display in Birmingham until October 13th.

There will be a partial display of the hoard from today (25th September) until 13th October when the objects are transferred to the British Museum for the valuation process to begin.
